My drive to create desirable items is as old as my memories: from a chocolate candy business in junior high, to custom painted T-shirts in my twenties, to essential oil blends in my thirties, to natural vegan bath products in my forties, to joyful jewelry pieces in my fifties, and the list goes on.

‘Make the world a better place’ has always been my mantra. Whether by creating better work environments and processes with my engineering degree, or lessening environmental impact with a cloth diaper service (don’t ask), or positively influencing your mood/atmosphere/physical being with essential oils, I always strove to tip the scales in the direction of good.

It first started coming together for me when I was grieving the death of a family member and found my first moment of peace while knitting. This led me to offer yarn, notions, and knitting classes at my aromatherapy boutique / vegan bistro. Years later when I couldn’t find a shawl pin that I liked, I remembered that I used to make jewelry, so I made my first shawl pin. Customers saw it, liked it, wanted it. MAB Elements was born.

I create to inspire joy, so it’s no surprise that customer requests are a top priority. One day a customer asked if I could make coordinating earrings – what a great idea! Earrings were added to the offerings. Someone else then requested magnetic shawl pins. After many styles and many, many prototypes, we developed hand-forged, one-of-a-kind magnetic shawl pins. Then came stitch markers, necklaces, and more.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to be able to create these items that inspire joy for so many. I love engaging with customers to create custom pieces to match a special item or that include someone’s favorite colors. It is a true privilege. Thank You!
